Andrew Meyers came into the studio. He is a music promoter, starting a new festival he hopes will become an annual event. Winter Warmer will be this weekend at Roaring Camp. We heard a couple of the songs that will be performed. It sounds like a good time.

Dr. Pete was in the studio with us. He brought a staggering number of lemons, and one grotesquely large orange. He also brought homemade cookies. He told us about school age children visiting veterinary practices and even volunteering to work in animal hospitals. He knew he wanted to be a vet when he was very young.
Rosemary's movie pick of the week was Parthenope. Alex did not commit to a pick of the week, though he did seem to me to be partial to Heart Eyes, which he said is both a horror movie and a RomCom.
Charlie the gardening expert discussed flowering trees.

Last week Jaime Smith agreed to try a new recipe, the Elvis burger. It's a burger with bacon, cooked banana and peanut butter. Rosemary made them Sunday night, and Bill got to try it Monday morning. Today the three of us compared notes.
Gary Shapiro told us of the books he enjoyed most in 2024, including Connie Chung's autobiography.
In good news we heard of a deaf girl who has glasses that display for her the words that she and others speak.

We heard of firemen rescuing a turtle that had fallen into a storm drain, and a dog lost for eight years, reunited with his owner because he had a microchip. The dog had it, not the owner.
Charlie taught us all about when to fertilize plants in relation to when the rain falls, as well as his favorite berry that grows locally, that being the blueberry.
