It's a small world. Today all the bumper music was from children's TV shows of the '60's, from Sid and Marty Kroft. Then when Rachael joined us in the third hour, she let us know that when she was in college, one of her college friends was in charge of Sid and Marty Kroft's production company. What a wonder.
John Laird was with us next. He of course had something to say about the future of battery energy storage systems in our area. He also said that during the recent fires down south, the feds turned the water off.

Kristin Brown of the Santa Cruz chamber of commerce joined us to discuss chamber business and her role on it.
Dawn Addis, representing California's 30th assembly district is going to be with us every other week on an ongoing basis. Today, as has been the case recently, the dominant topic was the recent fire at the BESS in Moss Landing, and protecting residents and the environment from future similar events.
Mark Mozina, as always, had a number of items for us.

In the good news segment we heard of a bridge for monkeys in the treetops, to help them safely cross roads. Then we learned that in New York City there are grandma popups, where folks can sit in front of a computer and put on noise-cancelling headphones for some one-on-one time with a real grandma.
We listed the restaurants participating in Burger Week, and ran down the list of offerings at each.
Rachael educated us on both the need for sunlight and the legal notions of slander and defamation.
