In good news we heard of a kid who found a meteorite after it broke a window in his family's car. Cool.
Mark Mozena had lots of space news for us.
- Blue origin successfully launched the massive New Glenn rocket for the first time.
- Starship launched and disintegrated over the Caribbean. (Sadly we weren’t able to see it from the islands)
- Inauguration Day in DC - space policy speculations are aflutter. Mars vs Moon, China competition, Space Force vs other agencies, workforce structure, Space Command location, etc.
- Two lunar landers launched to moon - Firefly’s Blue Ghost and iSpace’s Resilience are heading to the moon
- 6 Planets are all visible in night sky now - a nice alignment for stargazing. A planetary parade!
Michael Olson has researched what he can about the Moss Landing battery fire. We need lots of answers in the coming days.
